As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. If you are highly motivated and passionate about teaching exceptional quality instruction in modern facilities with smaller class sizes, we’d like to hear from you.
Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.
- Preferred: Core counseling faculty have earned doctoral degrees in counselor education, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program OR have related doctoral degrees (Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Behavioral Health, Mental Health) AND have been employed as full-time faculty members in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013. current Licensed Independent as Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Independent Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), maintain an active membership in a recognize counseling association and show evidence of counseling advocacy and/or research or scholarly experience and/or two years of clinical experience and/or experience in Counselor Education. Minimum: Non-Core faculty will have a Doctorate degree in counseling or related fields (Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Behavioral Health, or Mental Health AND current Licensed Independent as Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Independent Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and two years of post-licensure experience. Alternative Minimum: Non-Core faculty will have a Masters in Professional Counseling or Masters in Mental Health Counseling or Masters in Counseling or Clinical Psychology or Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy AND current Licensed Independent Professional Counselor (LPC), Independent Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) or a Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) AND 5 years work experience as an independent licensed counselor.
